I just don't think there is any vacation experience that can compare to skiing/snowboarding. The location is usually breathtaking, and the fun never stops. If you've never done it, you just have to get with it and get going. Here are some pics from my last trip....
This is what the base looks like on a Tuesday morning, simply amazing how few people where there.
Similarly, there is nobody on the slopes either, mine....ALL MINE.
I'm not sure what chair this is, but it's about 1/2 way down the run. Off in the distance you can see the desert valley.
But the mountains have their own beach!
